Position Summary:
Columbia Falls School District 6 is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide internal technology support for staff and educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise (Ideally in Google administration and general PC support) along with customer service skills, with a passion for both technology and helping others.
This position involves supporting a wide range of software and hardware across the district. Key responsibilities include:

Administering and maintaining CFSD6’s IT infrastructure

Supporting both installed and cloud-based software systems

Assist in asset management tracking system

Managing user authentication and access

Assisting with the setup and integration of general EDU/learning technologies

Advising departments on general technology-related needs

Providing front-line technical support during (occasional) high-volume periods
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months/year
HOURS: 8 hours/day, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday

Reports To: Director of IT
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting for Chromebooks/ChromeOS devices
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting on Windows devices
- Perform other various hardware and software troubleshooting
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting on iOS devices
- Assist in IT inventory maintenance
- Machine imaging &/ deployment
- Application maintenance/deployment in Google Admin Center & JAMF
- Resolve printer related issues, assist in printer setup & deployment.
- Basic network troubleshooting
- Basic anti-virus troubleshooting/maintenance
- Basic email troubleshooting
- Basic phone/VOIP troubleshooting
- Ability to remotely (familiarity of use of RMM) & in person assist in technical issues.
- Excellent bedside manner/approach (especially when assisting clients who are less technically advanced)
- Positive, can-do demeanor amongst occasionally stressful situations
- Ability to be a team player at all times
- Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of district data.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside, but will travel to different buildings within the District. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with time constraints.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer; occasionally walk and stand; twist at neck, bend at waist; kneel; stoop; and crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in school environments. May be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
MENTAL/MOTOR DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely performs routine work. The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another).
