Description
The Burn Table Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining burn tables or plasma cutting equipment to cut and shape metal materials according to specified dimensions and quality standards.
This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings, as well as the ability to ensure the equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Layout, position, secures parts according to specification.
2. Operate burn table as necessary to produce parts.
3. Oversee daily production of items produced.
4. Inform Shop Lead/Foreman of inventory/production issues.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
2. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
3. Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
4. Respectfully takes direction from supervisor or manager.
5. Load and unload trucks.
6. Will maintain cleanliness and order in work area.
7. Prepares and cleaning parts.
8. Removing rough spots from work piece using portable grinders or hand files.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
1. 2 years of experience preferred.
2. Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience
High School Diploma and 2 years of experience in shop environment preferred.
Training, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Training: Knowledge of burn table operation preferred.
Critical Skills
Computer Skills: Good understanding of computer operations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to read blueprints and understand parts.
Physical Demands
Regularly: Standing, lifting, operating equipment.
Work Environment
Shop environment.
