Job Summary: We are seeking a highly reliable and motivated Shipping and Receiving Technician to provide essential, hands-on onsite support at our Boerne, TX location. This critical role demands meticulous attention to detail and efficiency in managing the entire flow of industrial materials, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Manage all incoming and outgoing industrial materials, parts, and finished goods, ensuring accurate documentation, precise data entry, and proper, organized storage.
- Prepare complex shipments, including secure packaging, accurate labeling, and precise coordination with national and international carriers (e.g., UPS, freight LTL, FTL).
- Safely and efficiently operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, for loading, unloading, and moving heavy and oversized items within the warehouse.
- Utilize dedicated computer systems and software for comprehensive inventory management, accurate shipment tracking, and maintaining meticulous records.
- Maintain a consistently clean, highly organized, and safe work environment within the shipping and receiving area.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, quality control procedures, and federal/state regulations.
- Assist with specialized warehouse tasks and logistical operations as required, demonstrating versatility and initiative.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Occasional weekend work is a required part of the role to accommodate operational needs and incoming/outgoing shipments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent, dedicated experience in a high-volume shipping and receiving role within an industrial or commercial warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating a forklift; certification is highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with inventory management software, shipping platforms (e.g., UPS WorldShip or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite for record-keeping and data entry.
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent heavy lifting and moving of materials (up to [insert specific weight if known, e.g., 50 lbs] independently).
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving abilities.
