DEFINITION:
Assists Registered Nurse with Hemodialysis (HD) and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Functions as a part of the Dialysis team to provide safe and effective dialysis for patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Prepare, clean, and maintain dialysis equipment. Assist Registered Nurse during treatments.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Current Basic Life Support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
CCHT Certification within one year of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Nurse Aide certification
Experience in hospital setting
Study in nursing program of fundamental care
Nurse Aide – Work experience as a Nurse Aide
