JOB SUMMARY

Assure aircraft maintenance work, materials and practices conform to FAA, customer, company and manufacturers' standards of quality.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Modify, repair, assemble, fabricate install structural components and aircraft parts
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation and application.
  • Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures.
  • Repairs flight control surfaces, engine cowling, and fuel cell/tank maintenance
  • Overhauls mechanical assemblies including repairs and part replacements.
  • Documents maintenance/repair per company & FAA requirements on aircraft forms, records and workbooks
  • Must own and be skilled in the use of structures hand tools related to the responsibilities described above.
  • Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.
  • Works with close tolerance dimensions and various types of fasteners using common hand tools, special instruments and pneudraulic tools.


QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires the individual to be enrolled, planning to enroll within 30-60 days and/or graduated in/from Aviation School. This position requires a willingness to learn, hard worker, and the ability to perform the above duties and responsibilities.

 

AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN III (AST III):

  • 4 Years experience with or without an A&P License
  • Experience on at least 2 types of aircraft
  • Experience on at least 2 types of engines
  • Requires some direction and leadership training
