Responsibilities - All clients differ in the assistance they need, but these are some common tasks caregivers do with their clients...
- Provide personal hygiene assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting
- Medication Reminders
- Assist with transfers and help facilitate ambulation
- Help with mobility around the house and in the community (doctor’s appointments, shopping, etc.)
- Plan and prepare meals, help client with eating when applicable
- Assist or facilitate physical therapy exercises in clinic and at home
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Pet care (if applicable)
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Assist with any/all activities of daily living (ADLs)
Qualifications
- 6 months - 1 year experience in home care or other healthcare setting --> Experience in CNA Program (even if your state license has expired), MA, PTA/OTA, Pharmacy Tech, STUDENTS please apply!
- Reliable transportation (valid drivers license not required)
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Compassionate and supportive
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards in work environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
