JOB DESCRIPTION

The Duct Cleaning Technician & General Maintenance role at Comfort Systems of Montana is all about keeping homes and businesses safe, clean, and efficient. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems run smoothly by inspecting and cleaning air ducts, blower wheels, evaporator coils, condenser coils, and dryer vents. But it's more than just technical work—you'll be the face of our company to customers, building rapport and providing expert advice on improving their air quality and comfort. From replacing furnace filters to changing thermostat batteries for our Comfort Club members, you’ll be a key player in our customers' peace of mind. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Inspection and Cleaning: Inspect and clean residential and commercial air duct systems following company policies.
  • Component Maintenance: Remove and clean blower wheels, evaporator coils, and condenser coils.
  • Dryer Vent Cleaning: Clean residential and commercial dryer vents.
  • Customer Service: Establish customer rapport to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Customer Education: Coach customers about products and services based on their needs.
  • Comfort Club Maintenance: Replace furnace filters and change out batteries in thermostats for Comfort Club members.
  • Incentives and Bonuses: This position offers a great opportunity to earn additional income through incentives and bonuses by providing solutions for customers, such as new thermostats, indoor air quality products, and maintenance agreements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in duct cleaning and HVAC maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Be comfortable working in confined spaces, heights of 10ft or more, and lift to 50lbs.
  • Have a clean-cut professional appearance.
  • Be able to explain and sell services and products.
  • Have a strong commitment to quality work.
  • Be able to work with hand/ power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.


BENEFITS & CULTURE:

  • Wages range between $21.00 and $26.00 per hour DOE plus incentives and a bonus structure.
  • Medical Insurance. We pay 50% of your health insurance premiums after 90 days.
  • Ability to advance to any position within the Company provided the employee shows continued interest in learning and has completed the required training for advancement.
  • 6 paid Holidays after one year of employment.
  • 40 hours of vacation time after one year of employment, increasing yearly.
