What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daytime Custodian position at Commercial Maintenance Group LLC?
This is a day time cleaning position in a school setting. The hours are Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2 PM. Prior cleaning experience is a requirement for this role. Pay starts at $13.00 an hour and will increase after 90 days with good performance.
Duties:
- Perform custodial duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas including restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Clean and sanitize surfaces using assigned cleaning agents
- Perform floor care duties such as vacuuming, sweeping/mopping, and operating a floor machine
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if necessary
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Experience operating a a floor machine is preferred
