POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is primarily responsible for mounting and dismounting tires, flat repair and inspection on the Commercial business traffic. This
position is an entry level position into the tire business.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Commercial Tire work (in and off site): mount and dismount, air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation and flat repairs --Ensures lug nuts are
tightened to the proper torque specifications.
· Inspect brake pads
· Recommends preventative services
· Facility maintenance and clean-up
· Product pick-up/delivery
· Follows safe work practices and follows Commercial Tire safety guidelines and standards.
· Completes all required training.
· All other duties as assigned to support the business.
· Provides customers with knowledgeable, courteous and prompt service at all times.
· Torque procedures and understanding
· Maintains equipment with the highest regard
· Supports team as needed
· Demonstrate and explain difference between tire sizes (LP and Tall)
· Identify and explain all notation on tire (ply, size, DOT, time retread)
· Able to explain the area of tire you can repair and why
· How to handle accidents and who to notify
· Able to identify hub and stud pilot
· Able to remove broken inner thimble
· How to handle spinning inner thimbles (avoid pushing studs in the drum)

QUALIFICATIONS – Unless indicated otherwise, these are the knowledge, skills and/or abilities that are preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Mechanical Aptitude
· Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record (Required)
· Regular attendance and punctuality is essential.
