Works under the supervision of a Food Service Supervisor (Executive Chef). Provides optimal food service to patients, visitors, and employees in a manner consistent with the mission and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health Williston.

Responsibilities
- Follows procedures in cleaning and handling of dishes, utensils, equipment and work surfaces
- Executes proper use of cleaning products and equipment temperature practices
- Executes good hand washing techniques, and wears proper hair restraints
- Adheres to department policy regarding washing, rinsing and sanitizing cooking equipment and serviceware
- Follows proper food handling techniques when either receiving, storing, preparing, or serving food items
- Utilizes the menus, food forecasts, tally sheets/order sheets, serving portion guidelines
- Correctly stores, labels, dates and rotates food items
- Follows department policy on taste testing food before service
- Transports food correctly
Qualifications
Required Education for Staff Job Levels | Ability to read and write and follow both written and oral instructions. Some mathematics may be required. |

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | One year cooking experience preferred, but not required |
PREFERRED Qualifications | High School diploma or equivalent preferred. |
