*Responsibilities*

The Staff Radiologic Technologist Specialist performs departmental and portable radiographic examinations

assists the Radiologist or Surgeon in a highly technical and professional manner during procedures

produces high quality images.

Serves the following age – specific patient populations: pediatrics adolescents

adults and geriatrics

  • Uses two patient identifiers
  • Compares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracy
  • Performs the correct exam
  • Includes all anatomy required to produce an adequate exam.
  • Demonstrates continued competency in using PACS
  • Routinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Coordinates multiple exams into the proper sequence to ensure no conflicts of exams.
  • Assesses the doctor’s order and the patient’s diagnosis to determine optimal images.
  • Assesses patient’s condition comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Observes and reports to physician any change in patient’s condition during the procedure.
  • Communicates accurate patient information in a timely manner to peers physicians and other

departments.

  • Uses all diagnostic computer and communication equipment within safe limits.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Proficient at running C-Arm for complicated orthopedic and neuro surgery cases.
  • Proficient at running the O-Arm for Neuro and Spine surgeries.
  • Proficient with workflow in the OR. Able to carry the main surgery pager to organize and prioritize staff

responses to surgery cases.

  • Willing and able to train other radiologic technologist staff as needed to operate C-Arm and O-Arm for

complicated orthopedic cases.

*Qualifications*

High School graduate or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited Radiology program

For currently employed student technologists within 60 days of graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered/registry eligible

Must be registered within 1 year of hiring

AHA BLS

*Pay Range*

$22.89 - $33.20 /hour

Salary : $23 - $33
