Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The incumbent participates in programs involving operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, distribution lines for steam, hot water, plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, sanitation for hospital and Medical Office buildings. Will respond effectively to emergency situations, including fire, disruptions of above stated utilities or other emergency situations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years overall experience.
- 2 years hospital experience. Preferred
- Associate Science Degree in Mechanical Electrical Technology or related field.
- Universal CFC certification Valid California Driver's License.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Use specific formulas, conversation tables and other mathematical factors normally used in engineering operations and maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before individuals or employees of the organization. Ability to perform basic computer skills needed to input and extract engineering work orders and other documentation.
