THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Our passionate and dedicated nursing team provides 24/7 care, ensuring that our residents receive support every day of the week. From assisting with their morning routines to helping them engage in enjoyable activities, you will have a significant role in their daily lives. Your direct interactions with our residents will allow you to make a meaningful impact on their quality of life by delivering top-notch care. This position serves as a stepping stone toward becoming a Nurse Aide. After completing an 8-hour training course and passing the competency exam, along with a 16-hour classroom course and an 80-hour orientation, you will have the opportunity to advance into a Nurse Aide position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work every other weekend.
- Work hours during classroom orientation will be 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Willingness and ability to work in Erie County, PA
- Willingness to work a full-time permanent position for the 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM shift with rotating days and weekends (after certification is obtained on an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift classroom orientation)
- Completion of an 8-hour online training course prior to hire and providing a certificate of completion
- Work experience caring for geriatric or physically ill individuals
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
