This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy for a variety of accounting activities under the Wayne County Human Services Agency (HSA). A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate knowledge with maintaining and reconciling grants, including budgeting, reporting, invoicing, billing, recording, and documenting when required. This position will assist with audits, accounting records, and management reports, and review the agency contracts to ensure calculations and rates are in compliance.
Experience in preparing expenses to budget reports as well as reconciling revenue/expense subsidiary schedules with general ledger accounts is needed. Ability to adhere to the HSA fiscal department procedures, policies, and regulations is a must, as this person will assist to ensure that the agency records remain in compliance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week).
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- NOTE: THIS FULL-TIME POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $500 SIGN-ON BONUS.

- Salary: $17.83 hourly / $1,337.25 biweekly / $34,768.50 annually

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting; or
- One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting; or
- One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting.
