Visual Merchandising Specialist

We're looking for a detail-oriented Visual Merchandising Specialist to maintain beautiful, shoppable environments across our stores. You'll be hands-on in creating displays, managing inventory flow, and ensuring our stores always look their best while supporting daily retail operations. This unique role includes floral design as part of our full retail experience.

What You'll Do

Visual Merchandising & Display (35%)

• Create and maintain eye-catching product displays throughout the stores
• Refresh merchandising regularly to keep the shopping environment engaging
• Ensure visual consistency with Communal's brand aesthetic
• Style product arrangements for social media photography
• Update seasonal displays and maintain store presentation standards
  
  

Inventory & Product Management (30%)

• Monitor daily sales data to identify trends and bestsellers
• Submit reorder recommendations based on stock levels and sales patterns
• Conduct quarterly inventory counts
• Receive shipments and process transfers between locations
• Keep back stock organized and maintain floor replenishment
• Track product performance to support 3x annual sell-through
  
  

Floral Design & Arrangements (20%)

• Create floral arrangements according to Communal's design standards
• Manage floral inventory and supplies within budget
• Maintain fresh flower displays and care for plant materials
• Design seasonal floral pieces for events and daily sales
• Train team members on basic floral care and handling
  
  

Daily Operations & Support (15%)

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor
• Support training of new associates on merchandising standards
• Update website inventory and fulfill online orders
• Assist with event setup and styling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout retail areas
  
  

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

• 2 years of retail merchandising or display experience
• Strong eye for design and product presentation
• Comfortable analyzing basic sales reports and inventory data
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Willingness to learn floral design (we'll train you!)
  
  

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with floral design or plant care
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Familiarity with social media styling
• Knowledge of current retail trends

Schedule & Requirements

• Full-time position requiring flexibility for retail hours
• Must be available some mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work at multiple store locations
• Comfortable working with flowers and plant materials (no severe allergies)
