Position OverviewAs a Writing Instructor, you will:
- Teach Writing to K-8 students using our comprehensive, pre-developed curriculum.
- Lead interactive classes to help students enhance their writing skills, express their ideas confidently, and strengthen their creative abilities.
- Provide personalized coaching and constructive feedback in small class settings (up to 12–14 students).
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
- Deliver classes after school on weekdays or on Saturdays, as well as during seasonal school break camps (Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring).
Work Schedule
- Weekdays: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- School Break Camps: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 12:00 – 3:00 PM
- Flexible part-time hours are available, ranging from 2 to 12 hours per week during the school year, with extended hours during school breaks (up to 30 hours per week).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication Studies, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- At least one year of experience teaching or tutoring writing.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to helping students build self-confidence.
- Energetic, dependable, and professional, with the ability to foster a fun and engaging learning experience.
- Enjoy working with students, especially in the K-8 age range.
