Member Solutions Representative

Community 1st Credit Union is looking for a Spanish speaking Member Solutions Rep, to join our team in ensuring to preserve the Credit Union's assets by controlling collections.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Contacting delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current.
• Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
• Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity.
• Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charge-off loans.
• To ensure timely contact of members with delinquent loans. Initiate calls to members to follow up on promises to pay or return contact.
• To adhere to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and credit union collection policies.
• To submit records in collection software in complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Working knowledge of additional responsibilities including but not limited to bankruptcy, foreclosure, vehicle repossession, charge-off accounts and loans.
• Provide courteous, friendly, positive and professional service to all members and credit union associates.

Job Requirements;

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Fluent Spanish speaking abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft office.
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability work well in team environment.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality while promoting a professional environment.
