What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Driver position at Community Action Agency for McHenry County Head...?
This is a 9 month position, approximately August to May. The bus driver is responsible for the safe transportation of all Head Start persons and students to and from their homes. The bus driver must comply with all State and local regulations, implement Head Start Performance Standards and DCFS regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Be least 21 years of age.
2. Good driving record for three years prior to application, licensable by State of Illinois.
3. Must hold current bus drivers permit and CDL license from the State of Illinois.
4. Must be First Aid/CPR certified (training cost paid for by CAA, Head Start).
5. Must have current physical examination, TB test and participate in mandatory drug testing.
6. Must demonstrate ability to run and lift a 45 pound child to safety.
7. Must enjoy working with children and their parents.
8. Must complete an annual refresher course as required by the Secretary of State for School bus driver permit.
Schedule runs from Monday-Friday. AM Pick-Up and PM Drop-Off. Must be avail for occasional field trips and quarterly transportation meetings.

Pay: $25.22 per hour
