Description
The position is responsible for day-to-day operations of Community Action Council’s Child Development classrooms. Will be directly responsible for providing leadership to teaching staff. Implements activities to ensure achievement of curriculum, child outcomes and maintenance of NAEYC accreditation, compliance with state licensing requirements, local ordinances and Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Qualifications
Education: Master or Bachelor in:
Preferred degree: interdisciplinary early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education, early childhood development, elementary education, child care assistant, child development services, human sciences, individual and family studies.
Related Degree: psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling, human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy, occupational therapy.
Knowledge, Skills, experience, education, abilities:
- Prep Academy Site Director I: MA plus IECE certification
- Prep Academy Site Director II: BA plus IECE certification; MA in related degree with equivalent course work.
- Prep Academy Site Director III: BA in preferred field
