In October 2021, we launched our new ‘Food Club & Opportunity Hub’ to expand efficient, impactful healthy food assistance with the on-site integration of other pathway programs. More recently, we announced a partnership with Dwelling Place to help address the affordable housing crisis here in Holland. This July, we publicly launched our expansion of Lakeshore Food Rescue (www.lakeshorefoodrescue.org).

Position Details
Position: Part-Time, 16 hours weekly
Reporting to: Guest Services Lead and Resource Specialist
Compensation: $16 hourly
Benefits: Part-time positions do not qualify for our benefits package
About the position
Do you love meeting new people? We are looking for a friendly, welcoming face to join our team as a Guest Services Associate!
As part of the Guest Services team, you’ll welcome all clients and visitors with respect and compassion, manage administrative tasks, and provide excellent customer service to anyone who comes through our doors.
Working proficiency in spoken Spanish is strongly preferred.
\n- Create and maintain a welcoming environment for Food Club and Opportunity Hub members.
- Maintain a clean environment at the Food Club entrance and Opportunity Hub.
- Answer phones and register guests for Food Club memberships.
- Provide guests with basic referrals to community resources.
- Provide outstanding customer service and support.
- Identify opportunities to improve guest experiences.
- Conduct Food Club and Opportunity Hub tours for guests, community partners, donors and volunteers.
- Manage office equipment.
- Manage diaper/wipes, formula and condom inventory.
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to ensure highest guest service.
- Triage guest needs to other positions within CAH.
- Assist the Guest Services Lead and Assistant Director of Food Access with unscheduled and unanticipated tasks as they arise.
- Customer service experience
- Integrity, positive attitude, and self-directed, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- An individual who is able to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities
- Working knowledge of Google applications and platforms
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks without direct supervision
- Proficiency in spoken Spanish, strongly preferred
- Client management database knowledge, preferred
- Impeccable integrity
- High sense of empathy
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge of client systems and greater Holland community, particularly the culture of poverty and an understanding of addiction/substance abuse
- This position may require standing for a long period of time
- This position may require some light lifting on occasion (15-20 lbs)
- This position requires the ability to bend, lift and twist on a regular basis
