What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher - Head Start position at Community Action of South Eastern WV?
We are seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our Mercer County Head Start team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom when the regular teacher is absent.
The substitute teacher in cooperation with the teacher or the assistant teacher provides a safe and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes health, nutrition and optimal educational opportunities for participating children.
Duties:
-Assisting in planned activities and safety and well-being of children
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
Experience:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience working with students or children is preferred.
- Experience in childcare, special education, or preschool is beneficial.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
