General Summary: To provide ATI Coordination.
Requirements: RN (current PA license); Masters in Nursing preferred or bachelor's in nursing with documentation of active pursuit of a master's degree in nursing; minimum three years of clinical experience within the past five years.
Duties:
ATI Job duties: 1. Oversee the coordination of all ATI testing on campus. 2. Scheduling ATI testing in collaboration with the Course Facilitators and communication of the overall scheduling plan to the Department Head. 3. Scheduling of computer testing area. 4. Arrange monitoring of the ATI testing in collaboration with the assigned Course Lab Instructor. 5. Monitor student success on ATI exams and communicate queried results to the Course Lab Instructor and Course Facilitator. 6. Serve as a resource person/Mentor for students needing to complete a Focused Remediation plan by 1) deciphering ATI test results; 2) assisting students to access individualized Focused Remediation plans on the ATI online site; 3) clarifying/reviewing the Nursing Program Student Manual (NPSM) guidelines; and 4) serve as a Mentor as students' progress in completion of their self-driven Focused Remediation plans. 7. Coordinate and Schedule repeat ATI testing of students with the assistance of the Course Lab Instructor and Course Facilitator. 8. Monitor student success on ATI repeat exams and communicate queried results to the Course Lab Instructor and Course Facilitator. 9. Provide end of semester ATI test result queries to the Course Facilitator/Department Head. 10. Follow-up/facilitation of all Student Surveys (end of program; SOSO; end of course; etc.) to ensure they have been administered. 11. Ability to be flexible in scheduling of time during high volume ATI testing periods. 12. Ensures that transfers and course repeaters are put in the correct ATI class. 13. May be assigned other lab skills and duties as necessary to support the Nursing Department. Job Duties for Clinical or Laboratory Instruction: 1. Correlates student's clinical experience with theory, setting reasonable and attainable objectives. 2. Advises students concerning their educational needs, performance levels, consistency in practice and adherence to school policy and/or procedure. 3. Participates and documents the evaluation and counseling of students. 4. Participates in faculty meetings and level coordination meetings as scheduled. 5. Maintains expertise in clinical and functional areas of responsibility by participating in continuing education and/or current employment - denoting active competency and expertise in clinical area. 6. Works as a liaison in coordinating activities between faculty and personnel of cooperating clinical agencies. 7. Keeps professional data records updated.
Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. Vaccination: Effective November 1, 2021, as a condition of employment, all new employees of Community College of Allegheny County must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of their vaccination or have received an approved exemption to be an employee. Prospective employees who are offered a position can request an exemption from this vaccine requirement for religious or documented medical reasons. Exemption requests will be reviewed for approval on a case-by-case basis by the Office of Human Resources.
