What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aide position at COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS INC?
What You'll Do as an Aide:
- Assist individuals in developing and refining skills, promoting functional independence during breaks, mealtimes and other specific routines.
- Help to implement DHSP goals within a group setting or a one to one situation
- Assist individuals physically as necessary
- Document individuals progress toward DHSP goals
- Ensure individuals health, safety and general well-being
- Ensure and safeguard the human dignity, rights and liberties of the individuals we serve
What You'll Need as an Aide:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record preferred
- Ability to lift 30lbs, assist individuals in/out of wheelchairs or up from/down to mats
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Bi-lingual preferred (Portuguese)
