EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school or equivalent.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a valid driver’s license, with no disqualifying driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to the Corporation Handbook and/or guidelines set forth by our insurance carrier; reliable transportation; and adequate levels of insurance and insurability. This position also requires eligibility for placement into a specific program given specific criminal background history which is guided by specific reference to the following Ohio Revised Code Sections: ORC 3301.32 Criminal Records Check for those who work with children; OCR 3712.09 Criminal Records Check for those who work with older adults; OCR 109.572 Criminal Records check for those who work with children in alcohol and drug program.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience working with a population affected by behavioral health issues and/or substance abuse and recovery is desirable.

WORKING SCHEDULE: This job requires onsite monitoring of the tenants and facility. Availability of one weekend shift (flexible day/shift times) and occasional holiday shifts (flexible shift times). This is a part-time opportunity in GENEVA, OH. Flexible shift work hours are available.

DESCRIPTION: The Residential Monitor will provide excellent customer service to the residents to ensure safety, care and monitoring. This facility is provided for qualified tenants who are about to give, or have recently given, birth. They may have other small children residing or visiting with them while they are residents. The position requires the ability to give direction, monitor behavior and take action in a residential setting.

JOB DUTIES:
1. Monitor buildings and grounds to assure safety, custodial care, observation of clients and security of property.
2. Direct tenant activities.
3. Assist tenants and peers in making decisions utilizing established protocols.
4. Observe, investigate situations, report findings, and take action as appropriate to job role.
5. Perform related security and safety functions.
6. Handle and or assist in emergency situations.
7. Perform routine intake duties as required by site.
8. Monitor tenants’ location and behaviors.
9. Complete and provide accurate and timely documentation and record keeping.
10. Communicate key information in a timely manner.
11. Responsible for working with colleagues in a cooperative and collaborative fashion with the primary goal of maximizing client effectiveness.
12. Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions to develop and broaden skill and knowledge base to work with the target population.
13. Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and make every attempt to resolve work-related difficulties with the co-worker in a timely fashion.
14. Communicate all concerns and questions regarding the program functioning and client/tenant care to the immediate supervisor or their designee.
15. Maintain current knowledge of all applicable CCC policies and procedures and function according to these standards.
16. Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all pertinent federal, state, and local laws, standards of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, CARF Accreditation Standards, and appropriate professional ethical standards.
17. Perform other assigned and related duties specific and customary to the department in which they are assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 – 25 per week
