What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Community Health Center of Cape Cod?
Responsibilities Include:
- Processes cash receipts, invoices, electronic timecards, etc. by verifying accuracy of documentation and balances, compiling data, and preparing appropriate forms and reports
- Enters various data into appropriate database system to complete or update spreadsheet information which may include cash receipts, credit cards and invoices
- Maintains integrity of database accounting systems by regularly updating files, reports and spreadsheets, including vendor lists, purchase order account balances, employee payroll data or similar information
- Recommends daily data entry functions of budget, purchase order adjustments and journal entries, and expenditures through accountant
- Performs assigned account reconciliation functions per established routine under direction of the Accounting Manager
- Responds to vendor and staff requests for account information
- Performs other accounting clerical tasks which may include processing and distributing annual 1099 forms, maintaining postage account, preparing bank deposits fund transfer checks and/or maintaining telephone card accounts
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Strong Attention to detail and ability to work well independently. Demonstrated Microsoft Word/Excel Reporting Skills. Blackbaud Experience a preferred or similar system.
