Community Health Centers of South Central Texas, Inc. (CHCSCT, Inc.) is seeking a Dentist for our Non-Profit Dental Clinic at our Victoria Community Dental Center location.

H1B Visa Sponsorship (Exempt Status Available)

CHCSCT, Inc. administers and maintains its program of primary and secondary care and preventive dental care in a community health center setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively answer patient questions and address any concerns;
  • Works well with adults and children of all ages, especially good with children;
  • Performs extractions, root canals, and crowns;
  • Thoroughly educate patients about oral hygiene and health;
  • Ensure thorough documentation of patient charts which includes medical history, existing conditions and previous dental work;
  • Provide treatment to manage and/or eliminate dental disease, restore tooth function and aesthetics, and prevent future disease and/or decay.
  • Effectively communicate with Dental Assistant and/or Hygienist regarding patient care and concerns;
  • Provide each patient with a complete evaluation and treatment plan which includes an explanation of services, fees and payment policy;
  • Thoroughly diagnose patients' dental needs and formulate individualized treatment plans;
  • Conduct clinical duties in a manner consistent with appropriate policies, protocols and procedures, and in compliance with the most current accepted professional standards quality standards, including those established by CHCSCT, Inc.;
  • Conduct clinical duties in a manner that complies with all applicable federal, state, local and center rules, regulations, protocols and procedures that govern the practice of dentistry and the clinical provision of dental care;
  • Refer patients to an appropriate specialist within the market when necessary;
  • Maintain HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality;
  • Perform additional duties that are normally associated with this position, as assigned.

Normal Minimum Requirements:

  • DDS or DMD, or foreign equivalent degree, plus 3 years of professional clinical experience in a public health environment.
  • Unrestricted License to practice Dentistry in the State of Texas
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintenance of Continuing Dental Education (CDE) to ensure compliance with license requirements.
  • Maintenance of licensure to ensure qualification for FTCA malpractice insurance.

Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. In this context, "suitable" means substantially compatible with stated academic level and experience requirements and ability to perform the job duties.

Pay: $124,800.00 - $156,000.00 per year
