What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Tech position at Community Hospital?
Sterile Processing Technician: Full-time position available typically working Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. No weekends!
Major position responsibilities include:
- Procure, process, store and distribute supplies and equipment needed to provide patient care safely and efficiently.
- Maintain sterile storage areas with instruments that meet requirements for sterility.
- Maintain competency in decontamination, packaging, sterilization, instruments and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of instrumentation, asepsis and sterile technique, and computer knowledge preferred
- Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification within 2 years is strongly recommended
- BLS preferred
