Responsibilities
- Identify & Solve Problems: Analyze business needs, pinpoint inefficiencies, and propose actionable solutions to enhance mortgage lending systems.
- Gather & Refine Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and technical requirements that drive system enhancements and process improvements.
- Optimize Processes: Improve workflows in loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and other key areas by leveraging technology and automation.
- Support System Enhancements: Work with IT and product teams to ensure smooth implementation, integration, and adoption of technology solutions.
- Drive Data-Backed Decisions: Leverage reporting and analytics to provide insights that improve operational performance and decision-making.
- Facilitate UAT & Testing: Develop test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and validate system changes to ensure quality and functionality.
- Bridge Business & Technology: Act as the liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with business goals.
- Document & Communicate Clearly: Create business requirements, user stories, process flows, and system documentation to support initiatives and drive alignment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, or Hard Sciences preferred.
- Proven Success: 3 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role within mortgage lending or financial services.
- Critical Thinking & Execution: A strong ability to assess business challenges, propose solutions, and take action to implement improvements.
- Technical & Mortgage Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of mortgage platforms such as Encompass or Empower, and the business processes that drive mortgage operations.
- Analytical Mindset: Experience with data analysis, reporting, and using insights to drive business improvements.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agility & Collaboration: Experience in an Agile environment, working cross-functionally with product, operations, and tech teams.
