What are the responsibilities and job description for the OPES- Registered Nurse position at Community Medical?
Registered Nurse (RN)
Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0 FTE
Shift length: 12 hours
Start Time: 1900
Unit: Outpatient Extended Stay
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3) 12-hour shifts each week and every third weekend. One major winter and summer holiday.
Unit specific additional qualifications:
- Experience in post-surgical nursing
Required qualifications:
- Current state RN license
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
- BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire
Preferred qualifications:
- BSN
- One (1) year of nursing experience
- Charge nurse experience

Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
