Seeking a professional individual who has strong communication skills and provides exceptional customer service. This is a very busy environment and requires superior organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities. Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others, (in person, at the check-in desk, or via the telephone).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- As the individual finishes the appointment with MD or Nurse Practitioner will confer with MD/NP to see when the individual will be next seen and inform individual when to next see MD. If MD orders labs, asks for individual to be referred for psychological, etc., will ensure that referral is made, and appointment is scheduled for labs and or referrals. Ensure to document through nonbillable concerning efforts with MD/NP request.
- Will serve as Treatment Engagement Specialist with everyone before or after intake is completed. Treatment engagement will include orientation about services that are offered, completion of all consents. Ensure that individual receives initial appointments for MD (enter on PMR) and other services being referred to (example if therapy then schedule for treatment planning to add therapy on treatment plan with therapist being referred to). Treatment engagement specialist will complete a GIRPP progress note and bill for services provided.
- Will facilitate communication by answering phone by 3rd ring, will take messages and route calls to designated person ensuring that person is in office before the transfer.
- Will check authorizations and Treatment plan expiration dates of individuals who are coming up due to see MD/NP and will ensure that appointments are scheduled for updating expired treatment plans/BPSs before date of next MD visit. Will also ensure that authorization units available/not expired before individual is to see the MD.
- Will assist with all scanning and process as need arises.
- As individual shows for initial MD visit will record visits on Performance Monitoring Form in EMR (ELECTRONIC MEDIAL RECORD).
- Will scheduler and staff who perform treatment engagement as needed (when person is at lunch or other needed situations)
- Will complete call back reminder calls 1-2 days before client's current appointments. Will using independent (non-billable note) to document you your follow through and attempts.
- Will monitor those that have no show appointments, will document reason for no show. Also, will call clients to get them rescheduled within 48-72 hours (about 3 days)
JOB REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:
High school diploma or equivalent document.
Valid GA Driver's License.
Intermediate Computer Skills.
Preferably, at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
40 Hour Work Week
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
