What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator I position at Community Services of Virginia, Inc.?
- Interview and maintain qualified staff for assigned residential programs(s).
- Posses a thorough understanding of the Person Centered Practice, process and approach. Generate well written Individualized Support Plans (ISP’s), Person Centered Reviews, Monthly Reports and any other related documentation regarding the individual’s care which follow organizational policies and procedures manual already set forth by state licensure.
- Liaise and attend meetings with Community Services Board representatives, Individual’s, direct care staff, parent(s) and or guardian(s).
- Planning and implementing trainings specific to assigned staff regarding enhancement of their proficiencies.
- Respond and follow up to concerns expressed by individuals’ parent(s) and or guardian(s), support coordinator, staff or other mental health care professionals. Review all related documentation submitted by staff which relates to individual care, attendance, tardiness and all other pertinent information to ensure it’s meeting organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop constructive solutions to effectively supervise staff when challenges and or obstacles occur.
- Adhere to CSVA policies and procedures concerning the use of overtime, ensuring that overtime is kept to a minimum according to policies and procedures and that approval for any said overtime is secured before hours are worked by assigned staff.
- Ability to maintain any and all relevant Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as well as any other systems.
- Interpret and implement instructions according to the administrative policiesand procedures.
- Adhere to policies and procedures which relates to health and safety to the effectiveness of quality management
- Adhere to procedures which relates to the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
- Supervise and motivate staff as well as train and develop according to organizational policies and procedures to ensure relevant human resources procedures are followed i.e. individual performance reviews, discipline, etc.
- Develop professional skills and capability through behavior modifications and activity programs to assist individual to be successful within their life skills and community involvement.
- Ensure the safety of the individuals’ by monitoring the administration of medications, personal hygiene and to maintain the daily housekeeping.
- Must possess the ability to monitor the emergency equipment and any supplies which are needed.
- Prepare and submit well written documentation i.e. person centered reviews, training implementation for skill building analysis by ensuring the conformity to a rigorous requirement of reporting all activities, MAR’s, menus and any social activities within the residences.
- Oversee every aspect of the residential/in-home worksite.
- Must be on-call twenty-four (24) hours a day and maintain the flexibility to cover any shift should a crisis occur.
- Responsibilities also include attending required meetings with Coordinator II, Support Coordinators and or individuals’ parents, therapists and any doctor’s appointments.
- Have regular residential meetings with direct care employees
