What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Services - Counseling Internship position at Community Violence Intervention Center?
CVIC has an opening for one counseling graduate student to complete a master’s level internship with our Therapy Services team for Fall 2024- Spring 2025. The internship will primarily provide therapy for adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. This is an unpaid internship.
Required hours: 20 hours per week during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Length of Internship: This is a two-semester internship, beginning in the fall of 2024 and ending at the end of Spring 2025.
Supervision: The counseling intern will receive weekly supervision from a member of our therapy staff who has a master's degrees in counseling and is licensed by the NDBCE. Additionally, the intern will receive weekly group supervision from the Director of Adult Therapy Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the day-to-day operations including database entry, providing emotional support, advocacy, and individual/group therapy to clients in the Therapy program. In addition collaborating with other agencies to provide resources to clients.
