Description
Community Vision is looking for our next Employment Specialist to join the Employment Connections team. The purpose of the Employment Specialist is to match job applicants with developmental disabilities to a specific job that suites their talents and strengths.
Primary Responsibilities for Employment Specialist
- Work with candidates to assess and understand their skill set
- Work with employers to understand their needs
- Match the right job openings to the right job candidates
- Assist in setting up any disability-related accommodation needs
- Monitor job retention
- Administer skills tests and offer skill-building opportunities to candidates
- Conduct mock interviews
- Revise resumes to help the candidate find a job
- Recommend training to job candidates
- Communicate with employment team about progress towards goals

Must Have--
- Approved Criminal History Check
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- Reliable, efficient transportation throughout the Portland Metro area
- CPR\First Aid Certification, OIS Certification (In-house training provided, if needed)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Marketing, or related field plus one year of related experience required OR Associate degree in Human Services, Education, Marketing, or related field plus three years of related experience required OR High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) plus five years of related experience required.
Starting pay: $50,000 - $53,000 (depending on demonstrated experience); exempt; F/T 40 hours/week
