DESCRIPTION
This position will be based in the NY/NJ/CT metro area with the ability to meet at CT based HQ once a week.
This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation of detailed low voltage estimates based on the project requirements. Working with Sales, Operations and Estimating Teams to prepare detailed, profitable low voltage bids ranging from $1MM to $5MM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Attend bid meetings and site surveys
· Review RFPs to understand scope of work to bid
· Identify labor, material and time requirements to perform work safely and profitably
· Execute take-offs of documents
· Review and interpret project documents including drawings/blueprints/sketches, specifications, and contract language
· Work with manufacturers and distribution to obtain pricing for materials
· Work with management to determine labor capabilities and rates, equipment and other requirements
· Perform project hand-offs with team upon project reward
· Prepare change order pricing for on-going project work when required
· Collaborate, mentor, and co-train other estimators
· Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years field experience in a lead role
· 5 plus years’ in telecommunications estimating
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam, working knowledge of AutoCAD would be a plus.
· Sound knowledge of BICSI design principles

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including but not limited to security systems, fire alarms, and telecommunications. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site protocols and the ability to manage projects effectively while adhering to industry standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of installations and repairs.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare necessary documentation for project planning.
- Utilize Bluebeam software for project management tasks, including reviewing plans and specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor project progress and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in construction management.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including installation techniques and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to low voltage installations.
- Proficiency in project management software, particularly Bluebeam.
- Excellent negotiation skills for managing contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites.
