What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Respite Caregiver (part-time) needed in Montville position at Companions & Home Helpers, LLC?
We are seeking a PCA Respite Caregiver for a part-time case in Montville to provide personal care service for an elderly woman. She does smoke inside of her home & has 2 large dogs. (kept behind a gate) Must be dog friendly.
Case hours are Tue to Thu from 12:30PM-4:30PM for a total of 12 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Personal care assistance with focus on activities of daily living such as groom, personal care, assistance with transfer from wheelchair to bed or sofa or toilet, etc
- Prepare and cook meals tailored to clients' dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment through housekeeping duties
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
- Report any unusual incidents or changes in clients' conditions to healthcare providers or supervisors promptly
- Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience as a PCA Caregiver with dementia training or experience required.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Dedication to maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
- Proficiency in housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and dependability.
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities with a compassionate demeanor.
