Credit and Collections Manager
We have an exceptional opportunity available for a Credit and Collections Manager to join our team. We are seeking a dedicated individual that is ready to make a difference by focusing their efforts on overseeing a company's credit and collections operations. They will be responsible for all collections activities including negotiating extensions with clients, working with outside collection lawyers or writing off debt to minimize the company’s potential loss of income.
A successful Credit and Collections Manager should be analytical, IT savvy and have great report writing skills. They should have extensive knowledge of collection laws, and continuously find ways to improve the company’s debt recovery. They must be proactive and aggressively pursue past due receivables.
This position is a hybrid requiring working in the office three days a week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with the billing team to ensure the accurate and timely invoicing of customers.
- Setting payment collection goals and targets for the department.
- Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit.
- Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
- Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations.
- Implementing deadlines for invoicing and payment collection.
- Negotiating with customers in cases when nonpayment occurs.
- Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.
- Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection.
- Training and mentoring of staff members in the collections department.
Qualifications:
- Seven years of experience with collections
- Able to work projects to completion.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize according to needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as all levels of staff.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with diverse personalities in a dynamic and demanding environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal, communication and writing skills.
- Extremely polished and professional.
- Investigate referrals, references, and social media sources to formulate a well-rounded view of applicants.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events.

- Ability to work a fluctuating schedule based on program needs.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
