Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier relationship management strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Aggressively manage and direct the firm toward its primary goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage the entire supplier lifecycle, including supplier selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and termination when necessary. Leads a team of executives to drive major strategic decisions including, but not limited to, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, cost controls, and/or large-scale expansion.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with key suppliers to ensure effective communication and seamless cooperation. Oversees the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the company.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to optimize supplier performance and mitigate risks.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing initiatives and effective negotiation strategies. Strict adherence to corporate policies and ethics requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including procurement, delivery, design, and operations to align supplier management efforts with overall business objectives and provide a “single voice” to the suppliers on topics such as demand, equipment PO’s and delivery times, etc.
- Implement supplier performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact supplier relationships and sourcing strategies.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the supplier relationship management team and across the organization.
- 7 years of experience managing strategic suppliers
- Experience in related functional areas such as Supply Chain or Operations
- Understanding of power centers or backup generators preferred
- Problem solving with strong networking & influencing skills (internal and external)
- Proven track record in achieving outstanding negotiation results by applying creativity and innovation in your negotiation approach
- Ability to establish strong relationships internally and externally and achieve success through collaboration
- Demonstrated capability in supplier relationship managing with sophisticated global suppliers on senior management and executive level
- Ability to travel up to 15%
