Job Summary

The Compass One Healthcare Recognition Specialist is an essential member of a 3-person core team that provides Recognition programs and support across all sectors within Compass One Healthcare. While this role primarily supports recognition primarily for Morrison Healthcare, they also play an essential role in maintaining consistent, effective recognition programs across all Compass One Healthcare sectors that are essential to employee engagement and retention.

This role requires great communication skills with a deep commitment to building interpersonal relationships with operators and leadership, a servant leader approach, and an understanding of the mechanics necessary to operate an online recognition platform. Critical responsibilities and activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Recognition Promotion, Education, and Support
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key corporate and operational stakeholders in Morrison and wider C1H Recognition world.
    • Attend all recognition team meetings and calls.
    • Develop recognition strategies and plans to support corporate goals, enhance brand visibility, and improve engagement and retention.
    • Perform training as needed on the GEM Recognition program.
    • Participate in creation of formal training for LMS platform as needed.
  • GEM Recognition Platform Operation and Maintenance
    • Working with the Guusto Recognition team, ensure online GEM Recognition platform functions in a way that makes recognition easy for managers and recipients.
    • Understanding the complexities of online platform to maximize usage, train others on usage, and fix identifiable issues.
    • Working with recognition budget and Sr. Director to regularly fund GEM Recognition Platform for all Morrison programs.
    • Create awards as needed for Corporate Programs stakeholders as needed.
    • Monthly Reporting, HRIS Report Preparation
      • Assist in preparing monthly reports on GEM Spot Awards, GEM Frontline Usage, and other reports from the GEM online platform as needed.
      • Perform Monthly GEM Spot budget uploads and Quarterly GEM Frontline budget uploads to the online platform.
    • Monthly GEM Milestone Operations for Morrison
      • Oversee production of GEM Milestones to award service anniversaries.
      • Ensure creation of letters, certificates, GEM Spot awards for managers to review.
      • Oversee mailing of final documents, awards, presentation folders to recipients.
    • Annual National and Operational Awards
      • As part of the recognition team, coordinates the Morrison processes involved in annual National Awards (June - August), GEM Frontline Awards (June - September), and Operational Awards (October - November).
      • Includes nomination process, selection process, notification and awarding processes.
      • Determine with leadership who will attend CNOS, and who will be celebrated by operators. Make arrangements with operators.
      • Attend CNOS, the Compass Night of Stars, as Sector Champion for Morrison and as part of the Compass One Healthcare delegation.
      • Work with team to publish two issues of Annual Awards Magazines to feature winners.
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, employee experience, or relevant field of study preferred.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a corporate or field-related role preferred; Experience working with excel.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, etc.)
    • Preferred experience using a Project Management Tool (i.e., Smartsheet, Monday.com, etc.)
    • Comfortable with using/troubleshooting online fulfillment platforms
    • Exceptional ability to remain organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to accurately coordinate multiple complex projects and deadlines
    • Self-motivated and well-disciplined
    • Positive, can-do attitude
    • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
