Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is looking to add to our Paint Team. Compass Park is a vast 320-acre community in the heart of Johnson County adjacent to Indianapolis. It is a vibrant community through all seasons and a place of beauty, rich in tall trees and winding footpaths. This job is in Franklin, IN.
Painter Responsibilities:
- Prepare areas to be painted by smoothing surfaces, removing old paint and filling in nail holes and cracks.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains, enamels and lacquer to surfaces.
- Selection of pre-mixed paints or matching paints to existing color or color schemes.
- Erect scaffolding as needed.
- Make the necessary arrangements to protect the floor and furniture from splattered paint.
- Assist in weekly clean-up of Maintenance Shop.
- Clean up at job site and in painter’s shop upon completion of job or task.
- May perform lettering, paint signs, replace door and window glass, paper walls and ceilings, whitewash, free hand high lighting or shading, apply stipple and glaze finishes, refinish furniture and fixtures and estimate time and material on all painting jobs.
- May perform various routine maintenance jobs such as driving, moving, setting up or removing tables and chairs for functions.
- Snow removal when necessary and any other duties assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Painter Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Experience in painting interior and exterior painting of all buildings
