What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) position at COMPASSIONATE HOME HEALTH CARE?
Compassionate Home Health Care, Inc. is currently seeking an RN for the Mercer County, PA area to provide exceptional nursing care, assessments, medication administration via gtube, tracheostomy and ventilator care care coordination for a 28 year old quadriplegic in his home.
The family prefers afternoon shift 4- 5 days per week but willing to be flexible with the hours.
Due to the acuity of this case, our agency is willing to negotiate a fair pay rate.
***PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A WORK FROM HOME POSITION, THE EMPLOYEE WOULD WORK IN THE CLIENT'S HOME***
All new hires will complete a PAID-onsite training program that will review all functions of residential day-to-day care, including but not limited to medication administration, charting, assessments, and daily care. Some of the job responsibilities include Assess and chart observations of the patient's conditions at each visit, complete evaluation tasks, including medication and vital signs, dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress, provide education to the patient and/or family on proper home health care procedures and strategies, coordinate with physicians, PT, OT, and other individuals in the patient's care plan.
Requirements: PA LPN or RN License must be active and valid, Driver License, Qualified applicant Must be willing to work SOME weekends. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to operate a computer, be familiar with or have used an Electronic Medical Record system, & ability to utilize electronic visit verification system via a mobile app. Vent/trach experience preferred but willing to train.
Qualified applicants must possess the following Skills and Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently, knowledge of clinical skills and charting. A qualified applicant should also feel comfortable with the autonomy required in Home Health.
After a 90-day probationary period, all full-time employees are eligible for benefits, which include health and vision insurance, employee life insurance, as well as PTO.
