We are seeking a Mid-Level System Developer to design, develop, test, and integrate secure software solutions for mission-critical defense applications. This role requires expertise in micro-service architectures, database systems, software security, and Agile Scrum methodologies, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and compliance within DoD environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement microservice architectures for web and application services, integrating virtual instances, load balancing, surge capabilities, and performance monitoring.
- Design and develop applications using traditional SQL-based database management systems or NoSQL data management systems with full-text search capabilities.
- Implement security controls compliant with Federal information system regulations and DoD cybersecurity protocols.
- Conduct requirements analysis, software design, development, integration, and testing for DoD applications.
- Provide bug fixing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning to optimize software functionality.
- Perform configuration management and test case development, ensuring software integrity and reliability.
- Write efficient, well-documented code using programming languages such as Java and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless Agile development, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and documentation to DoD stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years supporting development using Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python for system development.
- Deep understanding of microservices, cloud computing, database technologies, and cybersecurity implementations.
- Ability to analyze, develop, and optimize performance across DoD enterprise systems.
- Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and conduct performance tuning for mission-critical applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with classified defense systems and secure DoD infrastructure.
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and secure cloud environments.
- Certifications such as Security , CISSP, AWS Certified Developer, or DoD-approved system development credentials.
