Qualifications of a Recreation Director:
- Ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge of documentation requirements, Quality Assurance programs, State survey processes, Residents’ Rights
- Supervising the Recreation Department personnel
- Creating, planning, implementing monthly calendars and newsletters
- Follow budgetary guidelines for the department.
- Creating, Planning, and Implementing Facility Event Calendar for staff
- Computer knowledge
- Ability to manage time effectively
Requirements of a Recreation Director:
- Must possess an ADC, CDP, or CTRS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, as a supervisor
