As a Landscape Construction Foreman, you'll be responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of high-quality landscape projects, from intricate hardscapes to lush plantings. You'll lead a dedicated crew, ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, and be a key player in delivering exceptional results to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew, including delegating tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Interpret and implement landscape architectural plans and specifications.
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including site preparation, grading, drainage, irrigation, hardscaping (pavers, retaining walls, patios, etc.), planting, and mulching.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies on all job sites.
- Operate and maintain various landscape construction equipment (e.g., excavators, skid steers, trenchers, etc.).
- Oversee material procurement and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and crew members.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Train and mentor junior crew members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction, with at least 1-2 years in a foreman or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to read and interpret landscape designs, blueprints, and specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy equipment commonly used in landscape construction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
