We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our surgery center who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality patient care. Heres What You Need
- One-year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)
- Experience as an operating room nurse preferred
- IV skills preferred
- Current RN license and BLS and ACLS required
- Self-Motivated with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Punctual and Dependable
What You Will Do in This Role
- Assesses patient/significant others understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention.
- Performs perioperative teaching to patient/significant other.
- Demonstrates appropriate nursing management and intervention in the perioperative period.
- Performs preoperative patient assessment, reviews surgeon preference card, assesses equipment/supply needs, prepares operating room, ensures availability of needed
- Provides safe medication administration
- Performs surgical prep per standard of care and surgeon preference
- Handles and documents specimens per policy
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill in caring for the latex sensitive patient
- Performs sponge, sharps, and instrument counts per protocol
- Keeps surgical suites clean, tidy, free of soiled equipment and supplies, and properly stocked.
- Uses principles of asepsis in varying situations.

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners (CompEye) services Ophthalmology practices in Washington, Nevada, Utah, and Texas. We work with single specialty doctors. No weekends, paid holidays and several no case Fridays!
