What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Comprehensive Pain Care?
- Currently seeking a Medical Assistant for a pain management clinic in Monticello, Arkansas.
Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-5:00PM
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Assess patients in procedural area, review medication, allergies, medical history, and obtain vital signs.
- Triage phone calls, complete prior authorizations, injection screening, and MRI screenings.
- Order lab tests, review of Prescription Monitoring Program.
- Scheduling MRIs, procedures, and office visit appointments.
- Proficient computer skills
- Obtain prior authorization from patient insurance for procedures, imaging, and medications.
- Obtain medical records and procedural clearance
- Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
- Comply with all HIPAA laws.
A minimum of 6 months of clinical experience
Must pass a background check
