Comprehensive Pain Management is seeking a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join its team of providers for the Rhode Island area. We are looking for a FULL-TIME NP. NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO CALL.

Would be required to:

  • Provide advanced nursing care and medical pain management to patients with acute and chronic pain.
  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Order appropriate diagnostic testing.
  • Provide medication (narcotic and non-narcotic) management based on the established practice guidelines.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results.
  • Assess patients to determine their appropriateness for interventional pain treatment such as, epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, TENS unit use, spinal cord stimulator placement, disc fx and radio-frequency ablation
  • Perform trigger point injections, botox/ dysport injections, removal of temporary SCS leads and greater occipital nerve blocks.
