We are currently seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our corporate business office team. If you thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same, then this might be your next step!
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for making sure that the entire payroll process runs effectively and efficiently while following deadlines. Our ideal teammate will enjoy working with others, be flexible with changing processes, and ready to help us develop new ones.
While there is some flexibility to scheduling, this position is an office-based role with typical Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm work hours.
What YOU Will Do
- You will take a lead role in completing the bi-weekly payroll process within the required timelines.
- You will handle peripheral payroll tasks including, but not limited to, FSA, HSA, 401K, quarterly (e.g., Form 941), and annual reporting (e.g., W-2s).
- You will participate in internal teams implementing new projects and electronic payroll systems, time & attendance, and interfacing with the payroll system.
- You will assist with other Business Office tasks as needed during non-crunch times in payroll.
What YOU Will Need
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
AND
Five or more years of related experience and/or training
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You will need to be comfortable using various types of office equipment including but not limited to computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers/scanners, and phones.
- You will have excellent accounting skills and in-depth knowledge of computer and software applications. SAGE and TimeStar experience is a big plus!
- You will be able to communicate effectively and have good customer service skills. (Our employees will call you when they have questions.)
Salary
$35,000 – $42,000/year
Dependent on Experience (DOE)
