Paid Training — Start With No Experience

Here’s the best part: we train you and pay you while you complete your training.

  • CPR/First Aid is not required at hire and is available at no cost.
  • Basic Training includes:
  • 70‑hour training course
  • 5‑hour safety/orientation
  • All training requirements must be completed within 200 days of hire.

Essential Functions

In‑Home Care Aides must be able to:

  • Support compliance and program development tasks.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, including timely follow‑through on messages and incident reporting.
  • Provide direct personal care as outlined in individual care plans (excluding tasks requiring nursing credentials).
  • Review and sign Policy 5037: Caregiver Expectations as part of this job description.
  • Demonstrate dependability, ethical conduct, and professionalism.
  • Interact with clients, staff, and community members with tact, sensitivity, and respect.
  • Manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Participate in staff meetings, progress reviews, and training opportunities.
  • Complete accurate data entry, write reports, and submit required documentation (including APS reporting) in accordance with policy and contract requirements.
  • Follow nurse delegation rules and responsibilities.
  • Support the physical and emotional well‑being of each client, with attention to hygiene and safety.
  • Provide social interaction and communication that enhances learning, emotional stability, and quality of life.
  • Understand and follow emergency response procedures for accidents or injuries during shifts.

Communication Expectations

Staff are expected to:

  • Communicate appropriately with the Supervisor, Office Manager, and Executive Director.
  • Seek and accept constructive feedback as part of ongoing professional growth.
  • Recognize personal limits and request support when needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks on time.
  • Follow board policies and contract requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Respect that clients direct their own care within program guidelines.

Working Conditions

This role may involve:

  • A busy, flexible schedule with frequent multitasking
  • Client mood changes or challenging behaviors
  • Hygiene‑related tasks in the client’s home

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work independently

Special Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check and TB test
  • Valid driver’s license and Washington State auto insurance
  • Reliable cell service with a sufficient data plan

Training:

We will train you and pay you to be trained. CPR/First Aid is not required but is available at no cost to you. Basic Training is a 70 hour class and a 5 hour safety/orientation. These requirements must be completed within 200 days of hire.

Pay: From $22.62 per hour
