What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at Concord School?
The Kingdom East School District seeks a licensed (or eligible) special educator assigned to Concord School. This position provides direct instruction to students and consultation to classroom teachers serving learners with special needs. In addition to the consultative role, this position provides leadership in the facilitation and development of effective individualized education programs (IEPs) and the coordination of related services designed to support student growth and achievement. The position requires applicants to possess a thorough understanding of special education law, cognitive/social emotional development, IEP development and classroom interventions within a tiered system of supportive instruction. Concord School is extremely team-oriented and operates under a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.
