POSITION SUMMARY
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment, following standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure shipping/receiving is efficient and safe as possible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Examine incoming and outgoing material and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as a hand truck or lift truck.
- Confer or correspond with the production manager and quality assurance to rectify problems, such as damages, defective materials, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Prepares and expedites shipments by posting weights, attaching shipping labels to packed cartons, loading cartons onto pallets, wrapping pallets and preparing shipping documents.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Act as main POC for Sales and Accounting regarding outgoing shipments.
- Supports Carbon with daily loading of tube carts, Staging raw material in room and strapping pallets and moving finished product for final pack and shipping.
- Packaging of AT material for shipping and supporting packaging and shipping for the comingling production area.
- General material handling of all raw materials and warehouse management.
- Identifying labeling and staging material that is placed for production jobs. Maintaining traceability to raw material lot numbers.
- Place all yarn required for heat setting into Autoclave or Steam Box and set the proper program as specified on the work order.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Remove cardboard, trash and recycle materials from each floor and bring down to dumpster/recycle area.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Experience : One to two years related experience required.
